I have been seeing Alex for several weeks now and I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience. This was my first experience with acupuncture so I had no idea how many issues she could actually help me with.

My initial referral was for neck pain and migraines. My neck pain was so severe when I started that I couldn’t fully turn my head side to side and lived in constant pain. At my first appointment, Alex spoke with me about the problems I had been experiencing as a whole, not just the neck pain I was referred for. Since seeing Alex she has worked with me for not only the neck pain but headaches, migraines, insomnia, anxiety, digestion, adhd, hip pain and more.

My hip pain is almost non existent, my neck pain and mobility had significantly improved, I am sleeping better, my mood has started improving and even the migraines I have dealt with since childhood are improving. I highly recommend anyone who has “tried it all” to see Alex and find out what she can do to help you.

I became a patient at G&L in 2014 to seek treatment for various issues and have revisited as needed over the years.

Recently, I started visiting the Hillsboro location for some bad back pain, knee pain, and digestion issues. After only a couple treatments from Alex, I noticed results immediately!! My back started to loosen up and went from a 7-8 pain level to about a 2-3 most days. My digestion and knee pain are also starting to regulate after 4 treatments.

I am very happy with the results so far (not surprisingly) and I definitely plan to continue Alex’s treatment plan for me!

Nina Yonezawa is incredible! She has years of experience helping people using acupuncture and other methods of treatment. She's very intelligent and insightful, and clearly cares about helping her patients. I went to my first session yesterday and I slept better last night than I have in a long time. My pain levels are lower in my joints as well. I plan to go twice a week for the next month and I hope to see continued improvements! Jenny at the desk is great too!

I have had an on-going auto-immune issue for over 2 years. I finally went to see Dr. Lei and by the 3rd treatment I noticed improvement and have continued to heal over the past few weeks. Amazing! He is really great and so are his staff. I highly recommend this clinic and acupuncture in general!

Great place I am a disabled veteran and I have been in pain for so many years. This is the first thing that has given me any type of relief. I am able to do more with my family and play with my son so much more. Thank you for helping me see a light at the end of the tunnel and showing me that there is hope of a better more active life.

I was referred to this clinic from the VA community care program. I had not experienced this therapy yet in my journey of pain management. I had been assigned Mr. Liu and he has been great to work with. When we first started my therapy, he was open and transparent about the process/procedure which helped with my expectations of what I would experience. We talked about my issues and a treatment plan that we would pursue. He set the foundation for productive and helpful therapy sessions.

My experience in the therapy has been gradual, both in the “intensity” of the treatment and the relief I experienced after a session. This is by design and the progressive nature in the treatment is needed as Mr. Liu continues to learn my body’s individual responses and tailor the treatment to what is needed when life throws curveballs into my pain management. When we first started, I could feel some relief after a session. Now that Mr. Liu has “mapped” my body’s responses and individual needs for treatment, next day relief after a session is incredible! I feel amazing relief with restored range of motion and the pain level associated with doing certain tasks decreases.

Another huge factor in my experience has been the front desk. She is very polite and professional with great attitude to greet you when you walk in to get checked in. She is helpful in getting you squared away before the appointment and for scheduling future appointments. You can tell other patients here enjoy her help as well because the conversations are very personable, I have seen one or two stick around after their appointment continuing their conversation to catch up.

All in all, this is the place to go. I knew nothing about the therapy, I would say I was more excited to try it than nervous. However, if you pare nervous or unsure about this treatment, this is the clinic for you. The providers are more than willing to explain and introduce you to this therapy and the rest of the team (such as the front desk) create an environment where you feel you are in the right hands. This lets you focus on the session at hand to relax and enjoy the relief you came here for.

This team/clinic will be a mainstay to my pain management resources/toolkit.

I originally visited Alex to address pain in my shoulder from a recurring issue. The pain was reduced the day after my first visit so I could sleep on that shoulder.

More importantly Alex took the time to ask about all of the current issues I was having and included inspiration/motivation work as well. After a couple of sessions I had a sense of restlessness and have finally had the inspiration to use the physical therapy sessions as a foundation to build positive habit changes. Big thumbs up.
