I have been working with G&L Acupuncture and Lei Liu at the Beaverton office for acute anxiety from chronic stress for the past 5 weeks. The experience has been amazing. Lei was recommended by my Psychologist who said she trusted him Implicitly. At this point I do as well. He has a great demeanor and is caring and concerned and varies the treatment to match my symptoms.

The treatments worked immediately to reduce my stress and anxiety. Now, I look forward to each session and come out entirely relaxed. A big differentiator at G&L is the people. A number of years ago, I suffered from a severe backache, the result of a compression fracture of the spine. Instead of taking pain pills, I have been treated each week at G&L Acupuncture and Wellness Center. Acupuncture alleviates back pain and also treats the occasional headache or gastric upset.

Over the past 14 months, I have had Bell's Palsy four times. I felt disabled, stressed, scared, and hopeless. I tried the medical model with medications, therapy, and a home stimulation unit. Each bout of Bell's Palsy became worse and the recovery period increased.

In November 2016, my fourth bout should have resolved after 2 months, but I remained with numbness at the left side of my face and mouth. My left eye was affected, too. My face was distorted, I had difficulty speaking and eating, and I could not play my flute in my church orchestra.

I came to G&L Acupuncture and Wellness Center in November 2016 desperate and requesting help. My MD had told me that I would have permanent complications and to live with it. But I knew that my stress level was not manageable and because of it my immune system was compromised. I was willing to make the commitment to acupuncture.

My acupuncturist, Pam Lovall, and the staff were so receptive to me. I received education, support, and encouragement which was so instrumental in my recovery. With each visit, my acupuncturist assessed my progress and concerns.

I am so glad to report that my Bell's Palsy has resolved without complications. My life changed because of G&L Acupuncture and Wellness Center. I am much more balanced, healthy, and happy. It took my doctors four years to diagnose Burning Mouth Syndrome as my chronic pain got worse and worse.

During that time I tried 20 different herbs and prescriptions as my doctors tried to find solutions to the worsening chronic pain. They sent me to 10 "Handling Pain Classes," several pain clinics, two specialists at OHSU, many counselors, and all kinds of resources to try and minimize the pain. As we reached what I felt the end of resources we decided to try acupuncture which had been recommended by doctors over the years but we had delayed because insurance did not cover it.

I went from a 8 or 9 on the pain scale all day every day to a 1 or 2. Every week the acupuncture reduced the pain. I was amazed, and every week the pain lessened. Lei Liu and his staff have made a tremendous improvement in my pain, stress, and anxiety. I highly recommend acupuncture, Lei Liu, and his clinic to anyone looking for help and relief.

Medicines and procedures I've tried prior to acupuncture:

I have been going to G&L for both acupuncture and massage to help with back pain and sciatica from a herniated disc for a few months now. I am feeling more relief than I've felt in nearly a year of physical therapy.

The office staff and practitioners are warm and welcoming and really take the time to learn about your unique condition and what you feel you need. The office atmosphere is calming, healing, and friendly. Personally, I really enjoy the relaxing music they play during treatment.

I definitely recommend G&L for anyone looking for a holistic healing experience!

I have stenosis in cervical and lumbar and after spine surgery I was still in pain. I found this place and walked in and wanted to give it a try. I am so glad I did. Staff is wonderful and so knowledgeable and they really explained all about accupunture. I started to feel better soon after my 1st treatment. I am now able to work and function my life much easier.

I have cut back on medication and finally feel hopeful. I really recommend this place to give it a try. You won't be sorry. I have recommended this clinic to many friends, family and coworkers.

Recently I have been experiencing neck and shoulder pain, so I searched online and read through newspapers to look for a good Acupuncturist and possible with Massage therapy as well. Now I found it and give them two thumbs up.

Just after the first acupuncture treatment, my neck pain is gone. Since the massage therapy was booked out, they arranged one for me when there were someone dropped the appointment. I really appreciated. The massage therapist is so great, I can immediately feel the relief from the tight tendon after she worked the on my shoulders.

Now I have visited them 4 times to further improve the healing effect. I'll keep seeing them to get my body totally back on track.

This is definitely a hidden gem in Beaverton, OR. We have been receiving treatment from Lei Liu for a few years. My son has been suffering from migraine headaches since he was 10 years old, when he turned 13, he started to get more frequent headaches (every 7 to 10 days). It's heart-breaking as a parent to see such a young kid starting to take pain killers so frequently, so we started to look for other options.

Lei is ever so patient and caring, my son totally trust him since day one. After a few months of treatment, his headache has been under control. He only has to have maintenance treatment every 6 weeks now, and only comes down with less than a couple of headaches per year. We cannot thank the team enough, they are courteous, polite, flexible, and professional. If you are looking for a caring team who puts your health first, I will definitely recommend G&L in a heart beat!

I cannot say enough good things about G&L Acupuncture and Wellness Center! I am a cancer patient, who recently went through chemotherapy and surgery as traditional Western medicine dictated. All through the chemotherapy, the acupuncture helped me with both nausea, diarrhea and pain, which allowed me to eat, and reduce the amount of pain medication that I required. My incision had not healed after 7 and 1/2 months. Lei Liu used acupuncture on this location. My incision was completely healed within 2 days!!

Wherever I experience pain, Lei Liu is able to find the source as if he has magic hands. He applies needles and the pain goes away like a miracle. He is now working on removing neuropathy from my feet. Neuropathy is nerve pain that sometimes results after chemotherapy. I had a double-whammy, because I am diabetic. Lei has been able to address this issue for me (I have been a long time sufferer from this nerve damage). It's really helping to relieve the feeling that my feet are on fire, with electrical shocks running through them.

I feel so fortunate to have met Lei Liu and his staff at G&L Acupuncture. They are all professional, kind and compassionate to their patients. I highly recommend going to this clinic if you are suffering from a long-term issue, or a recent one. Lei is there to work with you, support you and bring you back to health.

G&L also offers massage if you request it. Their masseuses are kind and professional and LISTEN to what you need. It's a great staff and a great place for healing. I highly recommend it!
