Alex Haidaris, MSTCM, L.Ac.

Alexandra ("Alex") Haidaris is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Oregon. She graduated from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, California where she earned her Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MSTCM). She is nationally board certified (NCCAOM) and has an undergraduate degree in Anthropology from San Francisco State University. After graduating, she continued her education in herbal medicine by studying traditionally used herbs while travelling in Siberia for 2 years.

Before becoming a practitioner, Alex was a patient receiving acupuncture and experienced great results. Her desire to help people, interest in health and herbalism, and her personal experiences with the effectiveness of TCM converged into a passion for sharing TCM with others. She particularly enjoys treating digestive issues, insomnia, and musculoskeletal complaints such as pain and arthritis, and loves to utilize cupping, tui na (massage), and lifestyle/dietary advice.

Alex has a nurturing and accepting approach, always truly meeting people where they are at. She enjoys learning about the diverse experiences of her patients, and hopes with everyone she meets to share with them the joy of living and healing naturally.

When not practicing, Alex enjoys hitting the trail, eating out at just about any cuisine, and experimenting with dishes at home. Otherwise, you might find her with her nose in a book!

From Alex's Patients:

Being a Acupuncturist novice (one who hadn’t tested the waters), I found myself in a position that I would try anything. Having searing nerve pain in my lower neck I was looking for something or someone to help me. When a good friend mentioned G&L Acupuncture in Hillsboro, I called immediately. Alex (Alexandrea) fixed me right up after a couple of treatments I was pain free. I continue to be pain free three months later. Also the benefits of wellbeing followed after occasional treatment. I rate this office highest in professional service and positive outcome.

Alex is amazing and really listens to your concerns. She’s helped me immensely with headaches and menstrual symptoms.

Best wellness center team I've been lucky enough to experience.

It's truly been a blessing to recieve treatment from Alexandra. I previously visited G&L acupuncture a couple years ago when experiencing depression and anxiety and the treatment is still

incredible. Alexandra takes the time to get to know you and truly wants to help you experience life better.

Recently I was struck by a moving vehicle as a pedestrian and I came straight to Alexandra for help. After just a couple sessions my back and shoulder pain significantly improved and she also helped with my recurring sleep paralysis. After just a couple more sessions the pain is gone and I only experience discomfort when working out.

In addition to Alexandras amazing work Dee from the front desk (who also does massage) has the best smile and conversation every time I come in.

Love love love this place and look forward to continuing treatment. Also bringing in my mom for her Bals Palsey.

My only regret is not starting sooner with Alex! I have had inconclusive lab work and a long list of complaints. They all could be summed up by saying I just felt blah... and now I am beginning to feel vital again. She’s not only helping me but also my athlete daughter came in with a sports injury and she got her back in motion and playing games again. The front desk is helpful and kind and the overall environment is soothing.

Alex has helped me so much I can't even explain it. She creates a safe and comfortable environment for all. I could not recommend G&L more!
