Alex Haidaris, MSTCM, L.Ac.
Alexandra ("Alex") Haidaris is a licensed acupuncturist in the state of Oregon. She graduated from the Academy of Chinese Culture and Health Sciences in Oakland, California where she earned her Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine (MSTCM). She is nationally board certified (NCCAOM) and has an undergraduate degree in Anthropology from San Francisco State University. After graduating, she continued her education in herbal medicine by studying traditionally used herbs while travelling in Siberia for 2 years.
Before becoming a practitioner, Alex was a patient receiving acupuncture and experienced great results. Her desire to help people, interest in health and herbalism, and her personal experiences with the effectiveness of TCM converged into a passion for sharing TCM with others. She particularly enjoys treating digestive issues, insomnia, and musculoskeletal complaints such as pain and arthritis, and loves to utilize cupping, tui na (massage), and lifestyle/dietary advice.
Alex has a nurturing and accepting approach, always truly meeting people where they are at. She enjoys learning about the diverse experiences of her patients, and hopes with everyone she meets to share with them the joy of living and healing naturally.
When not practicing, Alex enjoys hitting the trail, eating out at just about any cuisine, and experimenting with dishes at home. Otherwise, you might find her with her nose in a book!
From Alex's Patients:
Alex took very good care of me. I had knee and hip pain from a 20-year old knee replacement surgery, as well as upper back pain. Alex recommended cupping as well as acupuncture. The immediate pain relief was profound. After a month of regular treatment, I have also noticed reduced pain levels during activity and I get more sleep.
I can't recommend G&L acupuncture enough.
A warm healing atmosphere. I was stunned when the VA asked me if I wanted to try acupuncture. I was in constant pain and needed a cane to walk with for at least 14 years. I also thought Chinese medicine was just ground up deer antlers to treat male ED. Silly me!
From the first time Alex worked on me I have not taken a pain pill! The pain is so reduced that I retired my Veterans Administration issued cane for good. Now I go about my life just fine.
Thank you Alex and your entire crew. Be blessed!
This was the first place I went to for acupuncture, and I felt incredibly listened to. My partner’s parents have been going here for so many years—they’ve been raving about how much Alex has helped them for a long time. About a year ago, I got a horrible spinal injury and sciatica down my left leg. I went here as soon as I could…and I am so glad I did. Alex helped treat the inflammation from my injury and made my pain go down a noticeable amount. She helped me get back on my feet and moving again!
I also felt a lovely sense of community here! Everyone is very nice and considerate, and I genuinely enjoyed everyone’s company. I hope to come here again one day. I highly recommend you go here for anything that ails you.
I went into acupuncture feeling really skeptical, not believing it would help, but I was in a lot of pain and willing to try anything. Doctors only wanted to prescribe meds, and I didn't want to just mask the symptoms. I'm in my late 50s, work at Intel, and I'm constantly on my feet in the fab.
During my initial appointment with Alex, she took the time to get to know what my job entailed and where the pain and inflammation were coming from. I'm pleased to say that after a few months, I'm a believer—my lower back pain is gone, the arthritis in my hands is 80% better, and we're now working on some upper back issues. I would highly recommend her!
