Zongyi ("Joy") Wu, MCM, MAOM, LAc is a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Oregon with a Master’s in Clinical Medicine and a Master’s in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.

She completed 5 years of medical training at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine where she graduated with a Bachelor in Chinese Medicine and Master in Clinical Medicine. After moving to the United States, Joy completed another 1.5 years of education at Texas Health and Science University and graduated with a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine and Acupuncture in 2017.

Prior to studying acupuncture, Joy actually attended chiropractor school in her homeland Taiwan and became a licensed chiropractor. While she is not a licensed chiropractor in Oregon, choosing to focus on acupuncture, her extensive background in chiropractic care gives her a vast wealth of knowledge regarding the spine, nervous system, muscles, and kinetics. She has used her knowledge to treat many patients with any number of musculoskeletal conditions.

Joy is passionate about helping people. An avid learner, she keeps on top of the latest research and techniques in acupuncture Traditional Chinese Medicine. Patients describe Joy as naturally empathetic and an excellent listener. She is devoted to providing high-quality, compassionate, and effective medical care to all who seek her healing touch.

In her free time, Joy is also an amazing cook who has a special love for baking. She enjoys listening to music and trying all the new restaurants that Portland has to offer.
